The University of Wisconsin offers a variety of softball camps throughout the year.  The softball camps are focused on developing the fundamental, individual skills of softball in an enjoyable atmosphere, as well as providing instruction on game situations.  Each of our camps will include sessions on individual and team concepts for both offense and defense.  Our camps are great for players that are looking to take their game to the next level. All sessions of Badger Sports Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

The Wisconsin Softball Coaching Staff is excited to work with pitchers & catchers looking to take their game to the next level! Please see each description below regarding pitchers/catchers. This camp is open to any and all entrants entering grades 9 - Junior College in the Fall of 2025 and Transfers.

Pitchers: Pitchers will focus on the physical fundamentals of pitching including spin, direction, and body positioning. Instruction will include the mental side of pitching, setting hitters up, finding focal points to help tunnel their pitchers, and how to become a feared pitcher when stepping up to the mound. Pitchers will need to bring their own catcher to camp. Depending on the drill, pitchers will throw to their catcher, or a different catcher registered for camp.

Catchers: Catchers will work on the skills needed to become a Big Ten catcher. During camp, catchers will learn how to work the ball back to the plate with all different pitches, how to pick/block and throw runners out. Additionally, catchers will learn how to tag runners out, working around home plate with proper set-up, satisfying the new obstruction rule.

Price: $175 per camper

Check-out: Tuesday, June 17th at 12:00pm from the Goodman Softball Complex.

Meals: Lunch will not be provided. Campers are encouraged to bring their own snack for during the break period(s).

Note for Pitchers: All pitchers must supply their own catcher. If your catcher is not attending the instructional catching portion of camp, please see the two options below for supplying a catcher.

1. Supply a catcher that is 18 years or older (adult). These individuals are required to complete an Assumption of Risk Form. Please email this signed release of liability to badgercamps@athletics.wisc.edu prior to camp, or bring it with to camp check-in.

At our Softball Badger Elite Hitting Camp, campers will participate in the same drills that the Badgers do in practice. From focusing on putting their best swing on the ball to having adjustability, attendees will learn how to move their body and adjust their swing path to become a feared hitter. In addition to swing work, we will be discussing different approaches that we have as hitters, as we have different pitchers. Studying film is a huge part of the game and watching what the pitcher is throwing in the game is necessary to notice differnet clues that the pitcher may be giving the hitter before they even step in the box. This camp is open to any and all entrants entering grades 9 - Junior College in the Fall of 2025.

Price: $175 per camper

The Softball Badger Elite All-Skills Camp is designed for those looking to take their softball skills & IQ to the next level! In addition to grading out arm strength & power, instruction on defense, hitting, and base running will be provided. The game is won or lost on scoring runs. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in live scrimmage situations with the hitters focusing on base running & situational hitting, while the defense is focusing on thier setups for cuts and relays. This camp is open to any and all entrants entering grades 9 - Junior College in the Fall of 2025.

Price: $150 per camper

The middle infield position has been changing and forcing athletes to become more dynamic. This middle infieldcamp is intended to focus on the ins and outs of what it takes to play this position at a high level. Attendees will learn how to read different hops and work their footwork and glovework in different lanes. From working around the bases to different throwing angles for double plays, we will be working on specific skills needed to play up the middle. This camp is open to any and all entrants entering grades 9 - Junior College in the Fall of 2025.

Price: $75 per camper

This camp will be a fast paced and high level exposure camp for athletes looking to play college softball. Campers will participate in both a hitting and defensive portion of camp, with many of the drills that we run during our team practices and workouts. Pitchers will throw in the bullpen environment where they will work on spin, mechanics, and the mindset to become a Badger. This camp is open to any and all entrants entering grade 8 - Junior College in the Fall of 2025.

Price: $200 per camper

The Wisconsin Badger Coaching Staff will be working with campers to strengthen their skills in the 5 tools needed in our sport: arm strength/pitching, defense, hitting for power, hitting for average and baserunning. Our Softball Badger Kids Day Camp is all about having fun and learning more about the game of softball! Campers will be working on the fundamentals of the sport susch as pitching, throwing, defense, hitting, and base running. In addition to softball instruction, camp will include some other fun activities such as water balloons, tye-dyeing camp t-shirts, a slip & slide, and Kona Ice! This camp is intended for young softball players looking to get into the sport, wanting to have some fun, and fall in love with the game of softball. This camp is open to any and all entrants entering grades 3-6 in the Fall of 2025.

Price: $250 per camper

Check-in: Monday, August 18 from 9:30-10:00am at the Goodman Softball Complex. Tuesday-Wednesday, campers should be dropped off at 9:45am at the Goodman Softball Complex; camp will begin at 10:00am.

Calling all juniors looking to become a Badger! This Elite Skills Camp is designed to take participants through a Badger softball practice. Camp will included teaching and evaluating the skills of pitching, hitting, defense and catching.

This camp is open to any and all female entrants entering GRADE 11 ONLY in the Fall of 2025.
